The growing need to have a doctor at the service of a patient is the preoccupation of a Cameroonian platform Loosto that facilitates the process. The platform provides Cameroonians within and out of the country with the necessary information to link up patients and medical experts for check up and other medical follow up. As revealed to LaDiasporaCamerounaise.org by Eugénie Noguem, co-founder of Loosto, this platform has already impacted the life of thousands of people around the world.
« Through our blog and social media networks, Loosto doctors educate about health. We hold regular Live conferences to answer the public’s questions and we are at the disposal of patients who wish to have their appointments organized. We have already organized several appointments for people from the diaspora who have their parents in Cameroon. So all of them already benefit from our services. They also benefit from all our Health education ».
Concerning how the platform proceeds in service rendering, Eugénie explains that they prioritise transparency on prices and proximity of clinics. Patients who visit Loosto benefit from a turnkey service provided by an advisor, after which an appointment is scheduled depending on the doctor’s availability.

Loosto’s very active team work continuously on keeping a contact book for the best clinics and medical doctors in order to maintain a smooth running of the services rendered. Loosto also makes regular technical developments to improve their offers and automate some tasks progressively.
Talking about their challenge, she outlines that educating the population to adopt innovative solutions is a setback. She also states how encouraging it is to see actors from different health specialties position themselves in such a tough environment; this can only help Loosto to improve health for all.
