The Cameroonian diaspora constitutes one of the largest of all African diaspora. The Coupe d’Afrique des Nations, also known as CAN or Africa Cup of Nations is the major men’s association football competition in Africa. It is considered as one of the most prestigious soccer (football) tournament in Africa. Organized by the CAF – Confederation Africaine de Football every 4 years, the national teams contest in this football competition.
Currently ongoing, this competition is becoming interesting with every match. The next match slated to happen on 4th of February, Friday would be an interesting one to witness. The match between Cameroon and Egypt is attracting a lot of support from the African diaspora, especially from the Cameroonian diaspora. Not just the match, but the Cameroonian diaspora is hoping to witness Cameroon emerging as the winner of CAN this year.
The immense support pouring in from the Cameroon diaspora is sure to boost the confidence of the players. The Cameroon diaspora is majorly based in France, Germany, Belgium, the US, Canada, etc. and receiving such love and hope from the diaspora is going to fill new energy in the Cameroonian soccer team. Cameroon has been consistently playing well without losing a single match (1 draw out of 3 matches) so far and is in the top position in Group A. However, Egypt would definitely be a tough team to beat. With the same number of matches won by both the teams so far (2), it would be really interesting to witness the intensity of the match.
